CASH, Ark. – An overnight tragedy occured in Cash.

Two infant children were killed in a house fire in Cash early Wednesday morning, Craighead County Sheriff Marty Boyd told NEA Report.

The call came in at about 1 a.m., with the house already fully engulfed in flames when emergency responders arrived, Boyd said. Eleven people lived in the home, including four adults and seven children.

Two twins, both age two-years, perished in the fire.

Crews are still searching for a 6-month-old baby, 10 hours after the initial call.

An injured woman was airlifted to a hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. She was severely injured.

Boyd said the fire has rekindled several times, hampering the recovery.
