WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. – After a summer full of busy city council meetings in Walnut Ridge, the city has earned a month to catch its breath.
Very little is on the agenda for the October meeting of the council, with the only notable item being a resolution for a new tornado siren at the Walnut Ridge Regional Airport, to serve the College City area.
College City will pay for $15,000 while Walnut Ridge will pick up the rest of the cost, if the resolution passes.
It was previously brought up at September’s meeting but there was a bit of confusion between the College City clerk and Walnut Ridge on the amounts being paid by each. The item was tabled for October’s meeting.
