JONESBORO, Ark. – A vote of no confidence will be held Monday night at the Craighead County Quorum Court meeting for the tax collector.
The resolution, submitted by Garry Meadows, states the collector’s duties impact schools and county government and it is the collector’s duty to work with all elected officials in Craighead County.
“The citizens of Craighead County and the Quroum Court need to have full confidence in the County Collector of Craighead County,” the resolution up for a vote states. “Therefore, be it resolved by the Quorum Court of Craighead County, Arkansas, that the confidence has been lost in the Collector’s Office of Craighead County.”
The resolution will be up for a vote at the regularly scheduled quorum court meeting at 5:30 p.m. Monday night at the county courthouse.
