Two killed in fire early Monday in Marked Tree

MARKED TREE, Ark. – Two were killed in a house fire in Marked Tree early Monday.

The home was fully involved shortly before 1 a.m. at 126 Brigance Avenue, according to a KAIT Report.

Five people were in the home at the time of the fire. Two adults and a child managed to get out of the home but an adult and child were apparently trapped inside of the burning structure and could not escape.

Both perished in the fire. The home was completely destroyed.

Names have not yet been released. An investigation is underway.
