County Judge Dale Freeman passes away

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Lawrence County Judge Dale Freeman has passed away.

His wife, Mary Freeman, confirmed the news to NEA Report at 4:15 p.m. She said he passed away a couple of hours prior. He was found unresponsive just as he was preparing to go to rehabilitation.

According to his wife, he has declined in the last several days.

The county judge was critically injured in a vehicle accident on August 10 and since, has been battling for his life in a Little Rock hospital. His condition had markedly improved, with Freeman being able to leave his hospital bed, speaking and conducting business. He had been moved to a private room and consideration was being given to the county judge being transferred to an NEA hospital.

Unfortunately, his wife said his condition took a turn for the worse in recent days, before the judge passed Saturday afternoon.
