WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. – The September meeting of the Lawrence County Quorum Court has had its agenda set.
The Lawrence County Quorum Court will meet at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, September 12, 2016. The meeting will be held in the courtroom of the Lawrence County Courthouse, according to Lawrence County Clerk Tina Stowers.
Employee raises will be addressed from the previous month.
In addition, new business includes a report on board of governors, a Running Water Levee District resolution, Running Water District refunds, anticipated revenue, budgets, and the Amateur Radio Club.
Last month, a representative from the club asked the court to consider recognizing them in the event of an emergency, due to the resilient nature of HAM radio operators and their ability to communicate when no one else can.
Lawrence County Judge Dale Freeman’s condition was reported as markedly improved Wednesday, September 7, but he is still recovering from a horrible vehicle crash in early August in a Little Rock hospital. His attendance at the September meeting is not expected.
