Update: 12:30 p.m. – A second email from the city has indicated the meeting is over the “city salary plan.”
The email reads as follows:
Mayor Perrin has clarified that the special City Council meeting for Monday, August 29, 2016, will be to review and discuss the city salary plan.
JONESBORO, Ark. – A decision on police compensation may come as soon as next week.
Jonesboro Mayor Harold Perrin has called a special City Council meeting to be held Monday, August 29, 2016, at 7:15 p.m. in Council Chambers at the Municipal Center, 300 S. Church Street, in Jonesboro.
NEA Report was notified Friday morning just before 8 a.m. by Deputy City Clerk Nikki Nottingham.
The city council will be meeting to discuss police compensation, according to the email.
