CLAY COUNTY, Ark. – A suspect tried to get away on foot but authorities were too fast, according to a Facebook post by the arresting department.
Tuesday night just before midnight, Clay County Sheriff’s Department reported executing the arrest of a Shelia Brown, wanted for felonies through the sheriff’s department. When deputies arrived at an address on Highway 1, they reported Brown fled on foot.
However, it was a K-9 unit, Marko, that made the difference for the county. Marko was deployed and began tracking Brown, the department said, leading deputies to take her into custody.
Brown was transported to the Clay County Detention Center awaiting probable cause hearing. Additional charges are pending.
