HOXIE, Ark. – A second dead body within a single day was discovered Monday evening in Lawrence County.
A female, 40, of Hoxie, was found at the Cottonwood Apartments around 7 p.m. Monday evening, according to Hoxie Police Chief Glenn Smith.
Smith is waiting until Wednesday to release the name while next of kin is contacted. He said she was a lifelong Hoxie resident.
No foul play is believed to be involved, Smith told NEA Report, but the body was sent to the State Crime Lab in Little Rock. Smith expected to have a preliminary report within the next day.
