JONESBORO, Ark. – Burglars of one property used a different approach to get into the home. They made a hole in the ceiling of the bathroom and climbed in.
Jonesboro police were dispatched to the 500-block of East Roseclair Street to an apartment complex in reference to the incident just after midnight Friday. The resident told officers he left for work around 2:30 p.m. Thursday afternoon and while at work, received a phone call from the landlord stating a burglary may have happened.
When he returned home, he found a large hole in the ceiling of his bathroom.
Several items were missing in the residence but a noticeably large item outside of it was missing too – the resident’s vehicle. He reportedly left his car keys on a dresser and the perps decided to take it as well.
The resident told officers prior break ins had occurred with subjects busting through the ceiling of a storage closet.
Among the items stolen included an electric guitar, a 12 gauge Browning shotgun with wooden stock, a black Ruger .380, a Sony Playstation with twelve games, an X-Box 360 Elite, a 32-inch flat screen and a larger 47-inch flat screen.
The car stolen was a 1992 Chevrolet Camaro with red racing stripes on white body paint.
