PARAGOULD, Ark. — A suspect was arrested after police say he entered a Paragould residence without permission and threatened juveniles during a domestic incident.
According to a probable cause affidavit, officers responded March 14, 2026, to a residence on Kirkwood Drive regarding a domestic disturbance involving the potential defendant, Bradley L. Herren, 46.
Investigators said three juveniles were inside the residence at the time. Two were related to the defendant, and the third was not. The juveniles told officers the defendant entered the home without permission after noticing the third juvenile’s vehicle in the driveway.
Once inside, the defendant allegedly removed his belt and began swinging it erratically as one of the juveniles attempted to stop him. The juvenile was reportedly pushed into a recliner during the encounter.
Police said the defendant then kicked open a bedroom door to reach another juvenile. According to the affidavit, the defendant pushed one juvenile onto a bed and struck another juvenile multiple times with the belt.
The juveniles told officers the defendant had been told multiple times to leave the residence. Before leaving, the defendant allegedly told one of the juveniles he was going to kill him.
Authorities said the juveniles reported they were not injured during the incident.
The juveniles’ mother, who owns the residence, was reportedly on the phone with one of the juveniles for much of the incident and provided corroborating information to officers.
Officers later located the defendant at his residence.
Herren was arrested on charges of aggravated residential burglary, a Class A felony; terroristic threatening, a Class D felony; first-degree criminal mischief; third-degree assault; and third-degree assault on a family or household member.
Judge Curtis Hitt set bail at $50,000 cash or surety with a no-contact order and a condition prohibiting the possession of weapons.
