Two Missouri Suspects Arrested After Antique Car Parts Stolen From Clay County Property

CORNING, Ark. — Two Missouri suspects were arrested March 8 after deputies caught them loading a pickup truck onto a trailer at a Clay County property where antique car parts had been reported stolen.

According to Clay County Sheriff Ronnie Cole, the sheriff’s department received a call around 9 a.m. from Dannie Hopkins at 3811 County Road 431 reporting property theft. Hopkins showed deputies where antique car frames and other car parts had been taken.

Hopkins also told deputies an RV and a white Cadillac had been seen at the property.

Later that afternoon, at approximately 2:24 p.m., the sheriff’s department received another call reporting that the RV had returned to the property.

When a deputy arrived, authorities said the RV was loading a pickup truck onto a trailer behind the vehicle.

After speaking with the two individuals at the scene, deputies placed them under arrest.

Sean Gregory Gilihan, 37, and Jeremy John Arnold, 47, both of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, were taken into custody and transported to the Clay County Detention Center.

Both suspects were booked on charges of theft of property valued at more than $1,000 but less than $5,000 and criminal trespassing.

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
