PARAGOULD, Ark. — A parole search at a Paragould apartment led to the seizure of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and prescription pills, according to a probable cause affidavit from the Paragould Police Department.
The affidavit states that on Feb. 11, 2026, Officer Hunter De Sesso was advised that Troy Dufau was living at an apartment in the 800-block of Vance Street and was actively using illegal drugs. Police determined Dufau was on parole with a search waiver on file.
Officer Owen Mundy made contact with Dufau’s parole officer, who advised that Dufau reported being homeless. Officers De Sesso, Jacob Harris, and Mundy made contact with Dufau at the Vance Street address and conducted a search of his bedroom.
During the search, officers located Dufau’s wallet and driver’s license inside the room. Authorities reported finding several glass pipes typically used to ingest methamphetamine.
Police say officers located a plastic bag containing a white crystal substance believed to be methamphetamine under the bed sheets. Another plastic bag containing a similar substance was located inside a rubber container next to the bed, along with a digital scale and a box of plastic bags.
The two bags of suspected methamphetamine weighed 1.1 grams, according to the affidavit.
During the search, Parole Officer Ethan McGinnis arrived to assist and located a clear plastic bag containing 4.5 peach pills labeled “Y 19,” identified in the affidavit as Alprazolam, a Schedule IV controlled substance.
Troy Aaron Dufau, 33, of Paragould, was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine with purpose to deliver, a Class C felony; possession of drug paraphernalia, a Class D felony; and misdemeanor possession.
Bail was set at $25,000 cash or surety.
All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
