WBU Receives First National Bank of Commerce Gift

WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. — The Williams Works program at Williams Baptist University is the beneficiary of a gift from First National Bank of Commerce. Paula Haskins, head teller and assistant cashier at First National, presented a $7,500 check to WBU President Dr. Stan Norman.

“We are deeply thankful for the ongoing and generous support of First National Bank of Commerce,” said Norman. “Donors like First National make the Williams Works initiative possible for many fine students, enabling them to work their way to an academically outstanding, Christ-centered education.”

Students in the Williams Works program work 16 hours per week during the fall and spring semesters. In return, their tuition and student service fees are fully covered for each semester they participate. Moreover, students have the opportunity to work full-time during the summer, with their room and board expenses also covered, providing students a pathway to graduate debt-free.

Williams is a private, Christian university located in Walnut Ridge.
