Paragould Defendant Accused of Threatening to Kill Victim, Pastor

PARAGOULD, Ark. — A 22-year-old suspect is accused of making death threats toward two people, including his pastor, according to a probable cause affidavit.

Police said officers were dispatched on Oct. 21 to a residence in Paragould after receiving reports of threats being made. When they arrived, residents told officers that Brandon Bolt, 22, had allegedly threatened to kill one of the victims.

According to the report, Bolt’s pastor was later called to the home in an attempt to calm him down. Officers said Bolt then threatened to kill the pastor as well.

Bolt is charged with two counts of terroristic threatening, a Class D felony.

Bond was set at $25,000 cash-only.

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
