PARAGOULD, Ark. — A 47-year-old Paragould man is facing felony and misdemeanor charges after police say he repeatedly stole items from Wal-Mart despite being banned from the retailer.
According to a probable cause affidavit, Paragould police were dispatched to Wal-Mart on Sept. 12 in reference to a theft incident. An Asset Protection Agent told officers he witnessed Cory Fultz enter the store, take merchandise from the shelves, and attempt to leave without paying.
The agent also reported having documentation of Fultz committing multiple similar thefts over the past several months.
Further investigation revealed that Fultz had been banned from all Wal-Mart properties in July 2022 following a previous theft incident.
Fultz is accused of commercial burglary, a Class C felony, and five counts of theft of property, a Class A misdemeanor. The judge set bail at $15,000 cash or surety and ordered Fultz to stay off all Wal-Mart properties.
All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
