Paragould Woman Accused of Biting Medical Worker at Hospital

PARAGOULD, Ark. – A 37-year-old woman was arrested Friday after allegedly biting a hospital employee at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center, according to a probable cause affidavit from Paragould police.

Officers were dispatched to the hospital at 900 W. Kingshighway on July 11 in response to a report of an unruly patient. Upon arrival, medical staff informed officers that Alicia Holt had bitten a medical worker during treatment. Officers observed what appeared to be teeth imprints on the victim’s hand, the report stated.

Holt was reportedly standing on a hospital bed yelling and causing a disturbance when officers arrived. She was arrested and taken to the Greene County Jail.

Holt faces charges of second-degree battery on medical personnel, a Class D felony, and disorderly conduct, a Class C misdemeanor.

Judge Dan Stidham set bail at $10,000 cash only and issued a no-contact order.

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
