JONESBORO, Ark. – A teen was robbed at gunpoint and then shot at Saturday night in Jonesboro, according to an incident report.
Officers were dispatched to the 3500 block of Race Street at approximately 8:51 p.m. May 3, where they located the teenager suffering from a gunshot wound, an update posted to Facebook said. The victim was responsive and transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. No updates on the victim’s condition have been released.
The incident report released on Monday states that the suspect attempted to rob the victim at gunpoint and then shot at the victim. The victim is listed as a white 16-year-old male. The initial release from JPD said the victim was 17.
Police are still searching for the suspect involved in the shooting. The suspect is described as 6’0″ and slender. All other details are either masked or unknown, including gender.
