PARAGOULD, Ark. — A Greene County man is facing at least three Class Y felony charges of rape involving an alleged victim under ten years old, a probable cause affidavit released on Wednesday said.
Kenneth Hause, 58, faces three charges of rape, a Class Y felony punishable by 10 to 40 years or life in prison. He also faces a second-degree sexual assault charge, a Class B felony. He is being held without bond in the Greene County Detention Center, with the judge noting that bond won’t be set until the court can review his criminal history.
Greene County deputies took a report on July 10, 2024, alleging rape to a minor female, the probable cause affidavit states. The minor was interviewed using the “Child First Interview” technique, an approach that prioritizes the child’s needs and well-being. During the interview, the minor under the age of 10 described at least three sexual acts that would constitute rape by the definition of the statute, wrote Sergeant Ashten Jackson in the court document. The young female also disclosed acts that would constitute sexual assault.
The female named the defendant, Hause, as the person who performed these acts on her. Hause would be considered a person of trust or authority in the young girl’s life, the affidavit said.
The incidents are alleged to have occurred in Greene County.
All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
