PARAGOULD, Ark. — A woman has been arrested for the alleged theft and use of a debit card back in May.
The probable cause affidavit says on May 10, 2024, the Paragould Police Department took a report from an alleged victim stating that someone had stolen their debit card and used it, without permission, at several locations in town. On May 13, the alleged victim was interviewed by police and provided documents of the fraudulent transactions.
Two of the locations the card was used at were Dollar General at 4409 W. Kingshighway and Kum & Go at 4609 W. Kingshighway. The total fraudulent charges were $348.52.
On May 14, detectives obtained surveillance video at both retailers of the suspect using the card. They later identified the suspect from the video.
Shonda Wilson-Gutierrez, 49, of Paragould, faces a felony charge of theft and a misdemeanor charge of fraudulent use of a credit/debit card.
All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
