Downtown shooting suspect "Jigga" appears on Facebook from jail

JONESBORO, Ark. – A suspect in the Downtown Jonesboro shooting from Sunday, May 14, has appeared in a set of Facebook photos purported to be new.

Chauncey Jovon “Jigga” Thomas, 19, of Jonesboro, is charged with first degree murder and six counts of first degree battery in the early Sunday, May 14, Jonesboro shooting which claimed the life of Monterio Barnes, 18, of Jonesboro. Later that day, Thomas turned himself in while the other accused killer, Kalius Jaciel Lane, 20, also of Jonesboro, ran to Texas. He was captured the following day.

Six days after Thomas entered CCDC, photos were posted on Facebook which appear to show him interacting with friends and family. The comments on one of the photos indicates they are new.

One photo, posted by “Maserati Mark,” shows Thomas smiling and throwing up hand signs with handcuffs on. A second photo, posted by Narcissa Singleton, who appears to be the girlfriend of Thomas, appears to show the handcuffed suspect of first degree murder interacting with a small child. NEA Report digitally blurred the child’s face.

Thomas’s public Facebook profile contains a number of photos NEA Report has yet to publish, as well. Across his Facebook activity, Thomas is seen holding large amounts of cash. In some photos, he is seen with what appears to be marijuana.

Thomas is being held on a $1 million bond while Lane is being held on a $5 million bond.

  1. The same Narcissa Singleton that testified against Allen Miller for killing her boyfriend George Banks? Is that coincidental, or should someone start paying more attention to her? Even if her hands are clean in all of this, she certainly knows where to find the action doesn’t she?!

What do you think?
