HOXIE, Ark. – U.S. 63 will be partially reopened between Hoxie and Portia on Friday morning, the AHTD has reported. Lawrence County crews were opening the inside lanes, one in each direction, around 9 a.m. Friday morning on U.S. 63 between Hoxie and Portia, the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department tweeted. Group gathering pet supplies for flood

Jonesboro Animal Control and NAFA (Northeast Arkansans for Animals) are gathering pet supplies to provide to flood victims in Randolph and Lawrence Counties.  Items will be collected through Saturday at noon (at Jonesboro Animal Control – 6119 E.
