Jonesboro man accused of inappropriate physical contact with juvenile

JONESBORO, Ark. – A 47-year-old Jonesboro man is being charged with fourth degree sexual assault on accusations of inappropriate touching with a teen.

A press release said Jonesboro Police Department Internet Crimes Against Children Detectives were recently notified that Michael Montgomery, 47 of Jonesboro, became physically inappropriate with a 14 year old juvenile victim.

Police say the victim stated that Montgomery had repeatedly touched her inappropriately, both under and over her clothing, as well as gave her massages and would “raspberry” her chest and stomach areas. The victim made it clear to Montgomery that this was not okay with her. Despite this, police say Montgomery continued this inappropriate behavior several times over the course of several weeks.

Montgomery was arrested Wednesday by Jonesboro Police for 4th Degree Sexual Assault. He went before Judge Boling on Thursday and was given a bond of $50,000 and a First Appearance date of April 24, 2020.

Montgomery is listed as a special education teacher for Jonesboro High School under their online staff directory.
