One shot early Monday in Jonesboro

JONESBORO, Ark. – A shooting with a victim was being worked early Monday morning in Jonesboro.

At 1:20 AM, JPD’s Desk Sergeant confirmed the shooting had just recently happened on West Nettleton near the 500-block. The victim was shot in the leg, JPD said.

Officers responded to a shots fired call at 12:58am this morning near the intersection of Nettleton and Flint. They found one victim had been shot in the leg at 530 W Nettleton. A tourniquet was applied and the victim was transported to a local hospital with non life threatening injuries.

Two suspects were seen on nearby security cameras fleeing northbound and are currently at large.

Officers ate attempting to locate the suspects.

At least 4 or 5 shootings I’ve heard about in less than a week in Jonesboro, typical example of a rotten government that doesn’t care about law and order, reduces every crime to a misdemeanor and won’t prosecute anybody for anything unless they just have to do it, excuse everybody under 20 especially, won’t even enforce curfew and dismisses every complaint by every victim that doesn’t have enough pull with the egomaniac mayor to get something done. Let the fighting and vandalism go when they’re younger and deal with the gunfights and murders when they’re older. Just plain stupid.
