Pocahontas man killed in Walnut Ridge wreck

WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. – A 40-year-old man was killed in an accident Thursday afternoon in Walnut Ridge.

Brandon Provow, 40, of Pocahontas, tragically died in the accident that happened at 1:30 PM June 6, in Walnut Ridge. Arkansas State Police reported he was the driver in a 2006 Ford Mustang headed east on Highway 67B. At the intersection with the busy Highway 67, which is also at a turn in the path, 67B rises to a slightly higher level, making it somewhat more difficult to see oncoming vehicles which are below the eye level to the far left and the far right.

The Fatal Crash Summary by ASP said the Mustang failed to yield at the stop sign at Highway 67B, pulling into the path of a 2018 Volvo semi-truck. The truck crashed into the driver’s side door.

The report indicates there was another injury in the accident but does not mention who.

Next of kin were notified.

Conditions were listed as clear at the time with dry roads.
