JONESBORO, Ark. – A suspected shoplifter grabbed so much before leaving the store that the theft charge being considered is felony level.

It was reported in the December 1 blotter report at The Mall at Turtle Creek, 3000 East Highland Drive in Jonesboro. The report itself was not available but Cpl. David McDaniel described what happened to NEA Report after we requested more information.

He said a subject went into Victoria’s Secret and was eventually approached by an employee, although we don’t know why. Then, the subject becomes aggressive “in tone” with the employee and allegedly picks up approximately $1,300 worth of clothing – reported as 10 pants and 10 shirts. The suspect then walked out the store.

No arrests were apparently made.

There is a detective assigned to the case and they are hopeful that Mall Security will be able to provide video footage of the subject but as of Tuesday, JPD had not received it.

If you know any information about this crime which could help police, call Crimestoppers at 870-935-STOP.
