DeProw Promoted to Leadership Role in Academic Affairs at A-State

JONESBORO – Summer DeProw was promoted to interim assistant vice chancellor for academic affairs by Arkansas State University Provost Lynita Cooksey.

Dr. DeProw began her new role with the start of the fall 2017 semester at A-State, and will continue to serve as the director of assessment.

“We appreciate Summer’s willingness to step up and take on additional responsibilities as we begin the process of a Higher Learning Commission (HLC) visit during this spring,” Cooksey said.

Cooksey indicated that DeProw’s duties will include academic program review and assisting with HLC self-study documentation.  She also will continue directing campus-wide assessment.

Joining Arkansas State in 2015, DeProw is the elected treasurer of the Arkansas Association for the Assessment of Collegiate Learning (AAACL), and she was recently selected as an HLC Peer Reviewer.  Active in the local community, she is vice chair of the “Talent Taskforce” subcommittee of Jonesboro Unlimited.
