JONESBORO, Ark. – A vandal hit the Southside Softball Complex concession area this week, a report with Jonesboro police said.

JPD was dispatched Thursday afternoon, April 13, to 5003 South Stadium Boulevard in reference to the theft. They spoke with Parks Director Wixson Huffstetler, who said when everyone arrived at work, they noticed a glass door had been shattered on the concession stand building.

However, the suspect was captured on video breaking the door at about 1 a.m., the report said. He then entered the building and searched the register for cash, took sodas and food items from the concession stand and then left through a chain link fence that had been cut.

The damage to the door is estimated to cost around $700.00 to fix, while the cut chain link fence damage was estimated at $100.

Police are investigating. The suspect faces charges including felony breaking and entering, misdemeanor theft and misdemeanor criminal mischief for the damages.
