Report: Dog bites girl at bus stop

JONESBORO, Ark. – While a girl waited for the school bus on Thursday, she said a dog came up and bit her.

It happened on Craighead Road 324. Craighead County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Bobby Swan responded to the call around 5 p.m. Thursday, April 13. The complainant, 18, said she was waiting at the fire station on the county road for the school bus when a “boxer mix” dog came up to her – and bit her.

She showed the deputy her injuries – a bite mark on her ankle.

The dog was at a nearby residence. The officer made contact with the owner of the dog. He noted the animal never appeared aggressive toward him. The owner was instructed to quarantine the animal.
