Tip leads to discovery of stolen Yeti coolers

JONESBORO, Ark. – Too often, expensive Yeti brand coolers are being stolen out of the back of trucks.

Two of those stolen coolers were just found hidden under strange circumstances in Jonesboro.A tip came in to Jonesboro Police Department Detective Jacob Daffron on March 24 about the location of two stolen Yeti coolers. The informant said William Walter Tisdale, of Jonesboro, showed him two Yeti coolers in the woods south of the dead end of Elizabeth Lane. After the investigator checked Google Earth, he went to the location to search and indeed, found both coolers. They were stashed behind a tree.

The owners were located, who said on March 9 between midnight and 9 a.m., the coolers were each stolen from their truck beds. Each retrieved their respective coolers, valued at $350 to $400 – each.

Several drill bits were logged into evidence by Jonesboro police.
