Stabbing suspect sought by JPD

JONESBORO, Ark. – A man said he was walking down the road when he was stabbed – and police are searching for the suspected assailant.

Jonesboro police took the report at about 9:32 p.m. Saturday at the 500-block of West Huntington Avenue. A man reported he was walking down Flint Street, near Huntington, when the suspect approached him and demanded he give up his wallet. The victim decided to fight back and swung at him.

However, the suspect pulled out a knife and the report says they began to wrestle around, with the victim being stabbed once in the right leg and cut once in the right arm. The victim got away from the suspect, who ran away.

EMS arrived on the scene and transported the victim to St. Bernard’s Medical Center.
