POCAHONTAS, Ark. – History took a plunge Sunday morning in Pocahontas as the historic Black River Bridge in Pocahontas was demolished by explosives.
It was the main structure which was blown up in the display Sunday. Traffic was closed off at about 7:15 a.m. and a short time later, many watched as the landscape forever changed in the blink of an eye.
